How to Play

Start on the tee box. With index finger on the top of the pencil, apply downward and backward pressure until the pencil slips out and pushes a streak of lead forward (this is one push).

The next push begins at the end of the previous lead mark on the page. Continue until the pencil lead crosses the hole. Then record the total pushes for the hole by placing a tee in the scoring holes on the game board (Inside ring = 1-10 pushes, Outside ring = 10, 20, 30,...100 pushes) or use the scorecard found on the first page of the playing pad.

Rules to game play

Only one finger on the pencil.
No other finger, body part, or object may interfere with the pencil push.
You may rest your palm on the board or other surface when making a push.
Players may take turns playing a hole or may choose to play a hole out completely before another player makes a push (determine this before starting a game).
If a push ends up in the water, a 1 push penalty is added to the score and the next push begins where the lead crossed into the water.
If a push ends up out of bounds, a 1 push penalty is added to the score and the next push is replayed from the original spot.
If a push crosses a tree, the push is stopped by the tree and the next push begins at it’s base.

Rule variations

Easy Play: Once on the green, you can’t push the lead off. If this occurs, place pencil tip where the lead crossed the green’s edge and continue with next push.

Difficult Play: You can push the lead off the green. You must push out of the rough with your middle finger and out of the sand with your ring finger.
